" On 4.21.12, I performed the most important show of my life. I performed for my father at his celebration of life service. My father is one of the love's of my life. I adore that man and look forward to the day we are together again. My father managed me until he became ill in 2006. He never stopped being my number 1 fan, never stopped believing in me, loving me, guiding me and pushing me forward, even when he was sick. My success I have had is due to him. And, any future success I will have is still due to him. Phil Konty is my music and sole inspiration. Forever my manager and forever my daddy. He is everything to me." Joseph Konty.

I've been making my own videos since I was 13. They may be complete sh**? But, I've done it so long, why stop now?

I recall seeing my father leading the congregation as the musical director at our local church in Stamford, Texas. I recall how much I adored that man. I wanted to be him. I loved the sounds of gospel music. It really is my foundation. My favorite hymn was "The Old Rugged Cross" on page 430. It was also my Granddaddy Swagerty's favorite. I guess it was here music took hold. I let it wash over me.
From 1996 to 2000 I was in a Christian Rock band. Yes, I know. However cheesy it was we still played damn good Rock. We were close band mates & I still love those guys to this day. The Christian music industry was never for me. It was just the only option my Pops & I had in the area we lived. If we wanted to play shows & release records.
This nifty drawing is from 8th grade language arts class at Armand Larive Jr. in Hermiston, OR. I was 13 & told my parents I wanted a guitar. I wanted to write songs, sing them, perform them, record them... produce... teach... so that night we headed to Kennewick, WA & got me a guitar. My parents became my managers & still are to this day. Long live GJ!
